Stylish Golfing

Golf is not a sport that you want to be under prepared for, you know?  I mean you do not forget your swimsuit if you are a swimmer, you need your glove in baseball, and you have to have your running shoes for a marathon.  Just like those sports require certain accessories, so does golf.  And I love golf accessories for many reasons, some of which are below:

A Look at Adam Scott

Adam Scott

There are so many wonderfully talented professional golfers. One of my favorites right now happens to be the Australian Adam Scott. He first caught my eye because I am a woman and he is gorgeous. But incredible looks aside, he is a great golfer and a great human being all around.

Golf Aboard!

Many people will scoff the first time you mention golfing aboard a cruise ship, or anything of the sort, to them.  There is no golfing on cruises, they believe.  They spend a few wise dollars a year on a good home security system, embark on a vacation at sea and various ports of call, but fail to realize that their much prized game of golf is not something to be left behind but can indeed be part of that seafaring getaway.  Just because you’re floating on the ocean, catching the sea breeze and some sun and fun on deck, it doesn’t mean your golf swing has to go neglected.

Pro golfers literally make the PGA tour all its money, and unlike other athletes who have to endure a daily P90x Workout, these professionals have to focus all their exercise efforts on a very specific muscle set, and on their rotation.  Pro golfers don’t need the extreme weight training of body builders, or the cardio of runners — but they do have very focused sets of exercises that have to be performed on a regular basis to keep those prize winning golf swings smooth and effective.  Golfers in PGA have to improve hip internal rotation range of motion (ROM). A lack of hip rotation ROM limits the range through which a golfer generates power.

US Open 2011

What an exciting year for the 111th US Open Golf Tournament.  The best players in the world, professional and amateur, really put on quite a performance this year at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland featured on digital satellite television. Records were broken and success belonged to the tournament winner, Rory McIlroy.  It was a fun tournament to watch, even if the announcers and golfers still mentioned the not present Tiger Woods.  While I wish everyone would hop off of the Tiger-train, at the end of the day, it was about Rory and his efforts.  Here is a look at the players who made the top three at Congressional for the US Open. Rory McIlroy…
