You know that wonderful feeling when the holidays are winding down, you are about to ring in the new year and then it hits you, PGA Tour golf is just days away.  Oh that giddy feeling I get is difficult for me to contain.  Everyone has their favorite show on television or their favorite hobby, and my thing, it’s obviously golf.

Thank goodness for the Golf Channel and January 6th when the Tour starts back up with the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii.  The course will be The Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort.  The defending champion from last year, Jonathan Byrd will be there to take on some of the biggest and best names in golf, including Rookie of the Year Keegan Bradley.

The Plantation Course is obviously incredible.  It plays 7,411 yards for a par 73.  While a trip to Maui would be quite a vacation for most people, you can bet these pros are seriously preparing for the first Tour event of the year to set the standard for the year.
